Induced Voltage Withstand Test Set, often termed Double Voltage & Frequency Test Set or High-Frequency Generator, evaluates transformer insulation between coil turns and layers by delivering variable double voltage at double or triple constant frequency.

The 50kVA DVDF Transformer Induced Withstand Voltage Test Set features a 50KVA synchronous generator with a 150Hz output frequency. It offers switchable single or three-phase output via the control panel.

The set includes:

  • One 3-phase asynchronous motor (380V, 50Hz)
  • One 3-phase synchronous generator (150Hz)
  • One control and excitation cabinet.

Both motor and generator are mounted on a single pedestal, connected via steel couplings.

Generator Composition:

The generator consists of a synchronous generator and a DC excitation power supply. This supply delivers DC/excitation current to the generator rotor, with both current and voltage visibly displayed.

Working Mechanism:

When the motor propels the synchronous generator to its rated speed, the DC excitation power feeds current to the rotor coil. As the rotor operates, the generator produces AC current, with voltage varying based on the excitation current.

Measurement & Display:

  • Display metrics: Input Voltage, Current, Frequency; Output Current & Voltage (single/three phase), Frequency. All with 0.2% accuracy.
  • Displays Exciting Current, Voltage, and Timing.

Indicators:

Shows power, zero, voltage/current alerts, phase type, motor status, and timing.

Buttons:

Controls for motor operation, excitation adjustment, and emergency.

  • Preset test duration via time controller.
  • Motor start-up: star-delta mode.
  • Motor direction: clockwise.
  • Generator setup: Star (three-phase) or open delta (single-phase).

  • Excitation: Zero-interlock for current.
  • Generator: Phase-specific overcurrent protection; A phase over-voltage protection.
  • Motor: Protection against overcurrent and overload.
